Dressing for the treatment of extraction sockets
Composition :
10% lodoform Gauze : 100 g of gauze impregnated with 10 g of lodoform
Properties :
lodoform Gauze is a mild analgesic which acts as an antiseptic agent. When reacting with wound secretions and fatty acids, the iodoform frees Iodine to generate, by combination with proteinic substances, an active germicide.
Indications :
– prevention of periodontal infections
– post extraction disinfecting dressing
– disinfection of maxillary cavities
Directions for use :
Cut the necessary length of gauze to fit the extraction socket and pack gently into the cavity to be treated. The gauze is non‑resorbable and can remain in situ for 2 to 8 days prior to removal at the end of the treatment.
