Description
Liquid for root canals widening
Composition
disodium edetate (EDTA 17%), water Ph. Eur., excipients
Intended use
ENDO-SOLUTION is intended for chemo-mechanical root canal preparation. The product facilitates preparation and cleaning of the canal, removes the smear layer and exposes dentin tubule orifices. By flushing out calcium and magnesium ions, disodium edetate (EDTA) softens dentine surface layer to allow its easier removal and restoration of the canal.
Instructions for use
To decongest the root canal, inject fluid into the root canal using a syringe with a blunt-ended needle with a lateral bore while simultaneously working out the root canal mechanically for approx. 1 min. Rinse with purified water. Repeat a few times. Rinsing with sodium hypochloride is recommended.
Adapter with a cap is used to drag the preparation into the syringe.
1. Carefully unscrew the bottle cap and tilt it back. Screw the adapter onto the bottle. Do not tear off the attached cap to avoid any spillage when the cap is being torn off.
2. Start by unscrewing the blue cap of the adapter, and then screw the end of the syringe into the adapter opening, tip the preparation bottle upside down and drag the liquid into the syringe, while holding the adapter.
Next, put the bottle upright on the table top and gently unscrew the syringe from the adapter. Use luer-lock syringes with a rubber plunger.
3. After each use, close the adapter’s opening with a blue plug.
4. For transport, remove the adapter and close the bottle with a bottle cap.
Contraindications
Do not use for patients who are hypersensitive to the product components. Do not leave product in the canal or the tooth cavity between visits. This can lead to excessive softening of dentin.
Precautions
Take particular care when working out the canal near the anatomical opening
so as not to perforate the root with root canal instruments. ENDO-SOLUTION has cytotoxic potential. EDTA can adversely affect the bonding strength of dentin to tooth restoration materials. Endodontic treatment may cause temporary postoperative pain. Causes severe skin burns and eye damage.
